POSSIBLE NEW CLIENT

  • Provides Network Operation Center (NOC) and Network Engineering support including maintenance and configuration of all network components and appliances such as the external security stack, routers, switches, hubs, and firewalls.
  • Maintains, configures, and operates the Virtual Private Network (VPN) appliance.
  • Operates and manages the security protection hardware and software as directed and in accordance with direction of leadership and any applicable regulatory guidance, including network security assessments, firewall administration, security administration, and maintenance of host based and hardware based intrusion detection systems (IDS).
  • Provides technical and engineering support services required to operate network protection hardware and software on the Network.
  • Conducts data gathering, intrusion analysis, operational security analyses, preparation of statistical summaries, troubleshooting, hardware and software installation, and training support.
  • Continually assesses, reconfigures, and/or deploys systems to optimize performance and accommodate changes made to the network architecture or security policies.

Required Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant degree
  • 5 years of network engineering work experience
  • Requires effective verbal and written communications skills to consult with management, business partners, and vendors

Required Certifications:

  • Security+
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • IAT II

Job Description:

POSSIBLE NEW CLIENT 

  • Provide support with new system design, testing, and implementation.
  • Maintain the current server/desktop/thin client virtualization platform to include VMware, VMware Horizon View, VDI, CISCO Unified Computing System
  • Troubleshoot and provide problem resolution of software issues.
  • Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.
  • Provide desktop system management involving account monitoring, security, Operating System installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
  • Provide a morning report to leadership on the status of the VM environment
  • Create and maintain the virtual & desktop image in support of the client's requirements
  • Build virtual machines and recompose pools

Required Experience:

  • ​6-9 years of Windows Systems (server) Administrator
  • Currently possess DoD 8570 IA Certification at IAT II, CompTIA Security+ce.
  • Currently possess a relevant Computing Environment certification such as MTA, MCITP, MCSA, CompTIA Server+,
  • Cisco certification or other
  • Specific experience maintaining, Windows 7, Server 2012, Server 2008.
  • VMware Certified Professional certification or NETAPP Certified Data Administrator
  • Mobile Device Management

  • ​Ability to create accounts, work with AD/ARS, support BlackBarry deployment, assist in VTC configuration
  • Determines operational requirements based on input, mission requirements, modernization objectives and growth potentials.
  • Performs work/support that ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data in transition and data at rest through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Support Information Assurance to include the need to protect and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data; promoting awareness of security issues among management and ensuring sound security principles and tools (such as HBSS) are in place to protect the Navy’s network. security policies
  • Provides quality customer support in a Tier I – III call support and/or on-call support as needed

Required Experience:

  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 5 to 6 years’ of Helpdesk experience
  • IAT II Security + certification required on Day 1 of employment
  • MS Windows certification
